- Comment: The city of Bennington is almost at the border with New York State. It is very nice and the Old Bennington is a place to admire an incredible view from the top of the obelisk that is the place of the Bennington Battle Monument that commemorates the battle in 1777 during the Revolutionary War. This church is placed next to the cemetery where poet Robert Frost is buried.
