- Comment: Middlebury is a nice town in Central Vermont. I knew it thanks to an article by the Italian newspaper la Repubblica US correspondent, Vittorio Zucconi, who currently lives in Washington, Dc and was teaching at Middlebury College during summer 2007. When my wife and I were visiting Vermont we had to decide to move to Canada or to go down to NY state, back our American temporary home. We chose to continue to visit Vermont and we reached Middlebury, VT at lunch time. We found an accomodation very quickly and then we visited the town. And big surprise! It is not a town, it is really a jewel. Its streets, house, library, everything I think it's perfect and fit for human beings' life! And when we saw the Middlebury college sport center I really understood why US universities are so famous in the world: perfect place to study and to enjoy, sport, good environment, fresh air! I'd like to come back there in the future, during fall foliage, to breath a sensation of peace, really rare in a western city.
