- Comment: The Amenano's fountain is placed on a corner of Piazza Duomo and at its back the calmness disappears and the screams and the smells of the fish market come to the sight of the visitors. The Amenano is now a subterranean river that flows to the Mediterranean Sea near Piazza Duomo. Catania's people call the fountain "acqua a linzolu", literally "sheet of water".
