- Comment: The "Mercato delle Gaite" represents a commemoration of the Medieval daily life in Bevagna. Along the streets near Piazza Silvestri, the center of the small town, there are typical stores. The term "gaita" refers to an old italian form for "guardia", the guard: each workshop or store was guards of a portion of the town (rione). All citizens are part of the commemoration.
