Comment: The capital of the United States is a city very interesting from a cultural point of view, with an imperial air especially all around the area from White House to the Capitol, through all the National Monuments, that are probably a global monument to the Country itself. If walking in NYC seems to me familiar because of the huge number of movies set in the Big Apple, spending some days in Washington DC is as being part of the Breaking News. The monuments that tell the history of America and sometimes of the entire world, the White House, the Capitol, the Supreme Court: all symbols of a democracy that taught a lot to the rest of the world and can be as example again now, after the election of Barack Obama, as 44th US President, the first African-American President.
